![]() ![]() The simple part: the FLIR i7 is the least expensive camera on the market that meets RESNET the minimum standard thermal resolution of 120 x 120 by offering a 140 x 140 pixel detector. ![]() That all sounds a little complicated, jargon and more jargon. ![]() Why do you need to care about this? Because customers will be interested in meeting these standards in order to qualify for tax credits, to meet EPA requirements for ENERGY STAR labeled homes, and US Department of Energy requirements for Building America programs. What is this you ask? RESNET (Residential Energy Services Network) is a governing body that provides standards for energy efficiency and more importantly inspection standards for residential thermographers. I know what you may be thinking – ‘Why would they still make and why would I buy an i7 with the E-series with MSX on the market?’ I can answer this question for you in one word (well, it’s an acronym) – RESNET. Okay, it’s not really a secret but many people may not be aware that the FLIR i7 is still being produced and is available to purchase. I’m going to let you in on a little secret. Please check out the Flir Infrared Cameras HERE. The Flir i7 Thermal Imaging Camera has been discontinued.
